Introducing Buğra Batuhan Berah
We quickly realised that Collector Cartel™ shouldn’t just exist for collectors - it had the potential to create real opportunities for creators too. While we set out to build a one-stop hub for collectors, it struck us: why not make it a platform where undiscovered talent could finally get the spotlight they deserve?
As our community grew and more people began engaging with us online, we knew we could do more than just sell collectibles. We could champion the next generation of artists. For every household name like Jim Lee or Todd McFarlane, there are countless equally talented creators who never get their break. One of them is Buğra Batuhan Berah, a phenomenal Turkish artist I first discovered by chance on social media.
His work stopped me in my tracks - I spent nearly an hour scrolling through piece after piece. His bold inks and striking shadows are reminiscent of legends like Alex Toth, Bernie Wrightson, and Sean Phillips. He has the talent to stand out anywhere.
But here’s the reality: in comics, talent alone isn’t enough. And for someone like Buğra, working in a country where the political climate stifles the arts and makes international recognition almost impossible, the barriers are even greater.
That’s when we knew we had to act and launched Artist-to-Icon - a program designed to give overlooked creators the platform, promotion, and support they need to rise to where they belong. Buğra was the first to take the leap with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to help bring his incredible work to the wider world.
This is just the beginning. Our vision is to build a stage where hidden talent can no longer be ignored, and where collectors can discover not just iconic works of the past - but the icons of the future.
